In bonus a small video from "Fu long" (Happy dragon) the newly born baby panda from Vienna's Zoo.
Last year i went to amsterdam.

I've made another video with my last year picture using animoto.

I was working on my hall of fame this morning and especially on Steve Reich.
If you follow this blog you know that i am a hug fan of him. I've posted about it several times (Piano Phase, Daniel Variation, Eight lines)
And today I've found this video :
One line shocked me (exegetic shock) : "And they turned this piece into something of lifestyle"
That's exactly what I have done over the past 4 years while listening to Reich nearly every week (Most scrobbled artist ;-).

Yesterday I wrote a post of music written only using XP sounds.
Today i've found a website that has managed to put Pi in music.

La taxe d'apprentissage est le seul impôt dont il est possible de choisir la destination !! Il serait donc dommage de ne pas profiter de ce petit degré de liberté fiscale.
Le système est opaque et c'est volontaire car il offre la liberté aux organismes collecteurs de faire ce qu'ils veulent de cette taxe (en tt cas du hors quota de 48%). Alors prenez les choses en main et faites comme U.[lik] qui a choisit 100.000 entrepreneurs
Jeudi dernier dans le cadre de l'open coffee paris nous avons réalisé une petite vidéo avec Jean-françois le Délégué général de 100.000 entrepreneurs.

J'ai eu la chance de faire le tour des iles avec xuoan et un groupe fort sympathique.
Excellente oragnisation... des photos magnifiques et une petite soirée au cleub dans le 11ème pour finir.
Mes photos sont là, et voici mes trois préférées :
De temps en temps (et c'est souvent en sortant des mes terres) je prends mon pieds avec des mots acerbes et justes. Ceux de Philippe Val dans Charlie Hebdo m'ont beaucoup plu. Il parle des gens normalement cultivé et compare leurs états d'esprit avec ces des jeunes français qui sont parmi les plus déprimés d'Europe.

On s'inquiète de la disparition imminente des pandas ou des baleines, ce que je regrette infiniment, mais on ferait mieux de s'inquiéter de la disparition du peuple cultivé.
Moi je défends les deux !

So yahoo just launched live. it's overcrowded and therefore down at the moment. Anyway, i've been defending yahoo since more than 1 year as they entered the "you suck" part of their life. I love this company, they probably have the better sense of what USER (people using the web) want. They do have some troubles like today ... but Yahoo you got my love ;-D

Bonne écoute et comme j'aime bien rebondir ... j'en profite pour vous inviter à lire cette interview de Jean-Louis Missika paru sur un blog. Elle permet de mettre en perspective son parcours atypique qui le mène aujourd'hui sur la liste pour la mairie du 12ème.
Elle tourne en boucle aujourd'hui dans mon ipod. Il faut beau et le vélib me sourit cela lui donnerais presque tord à Thomas. Mais sur le fond il a raison .... et puis j'apprécie beaucoup ces quelques perles de j'aime plus paris de thomas dutronc disponible sur Comme un manouche sans guitare :

Occurrence of the term "Social Objects" is increasing a lot in recently. Jaiku Founder, Jyri Engstrom's who first published idea on the subject of "Social Objects" has a nice synopsis inspired by Karin Knorr Cetina (One of the best presentation read in a long time).
So what are these social objects ?? McLeoad definition is the following :
The Social Object, in a nutshell, is the reason two people are talking to each other, as opposed to talking to somebody else. Human beings are social animals. We like to socialize. But if think about it, there needs to be a reason for it to happen in the first place. That reason, that "node" in the social network, is what we call the Social Object.
U.[lik] like Flickr, Wordie, Librarything, watzatsong ...etc are all networks build on social objects. They are about content with people inside. I do believe they will have the lion share of social activities in the future because people will be able to aggregate them (but that's another story). Our socialization patterns are changing at an incredible pace and here are two idea and two excellent drawings that show the importance of social objects that can even be seen in evolution of the marital matches (using meetic or any other social places because social is also dating and sex)
Betsey Stevenson and Justin Wolfers in a ESSAY ABOUT MARIAGE AND THE MARKET concluded :
So what drives modern marriage? We believe that the answer lies in a shift from the family as a forum for shared production, to shared consumption. In case the language of economic lacks romance, let’s be clearer: modern marriage is about love and companionship. Most things in life are simply better shared with another person: this ranges from the simple pleasures such as enjoying a movie or a hobby together, to shared social ties such as attending the same church, and finally, to the joint project of bringing up children. Mc Leaod has some interesting thoughts on this new social matching if we take them on a very shallow level (it made me laugh at loud ;-D). Social Markers are a prime form of social shorthand, that people use to STAKE OUT the ecosystem they're occupying.

“With social networks, there’s a fascination with intimacy because it simulates face-to-face communication,” Dr. Wesch says. “But there’s also this fundamental distance. That distance makes it safe for people to connect through weak ties where they can have the appearance of a connection because it’s safe.”
And while tribal cultures typically engage in highly formalized rituals, social networks seem to encourage a level of casualness and familiarity that would be unthinkable in traditional oral cultures. “Secondary orality has a leveling effect,” Dr. Strate says. “In a primary oral culture, you would probably refer to me as ‘Dr. Strate,’ but on MySpace, everyone calls me ‘Lance.’ ”
